I discovered The Greater Goods by pure accident whilst browsing through Instagram in my discover feed. The picture was a simple yet striking bottle of citronella spray, and as you may already know from one of my previous brand focus posts, I’m a sucker for good packaging.
I clicked through and checked out @thegreatergoods Instagram account also to discover they not only did sprays but some classy looking soaps too. I was surprised to discover they shipped internationally which is always a massive plus and the shipping costs were reasonable.
I decided on 2 soaps and a bottle of citronella to keep away those pesky summer bugs (something that C taught me) , the 2 soaps I chose were: Black Amber and Mechanic (unfortunately it’s no longer available, but there are many new scents). The soaps are 4oz/115gm and $12/£7.50 depending on the exchange rate at the time, when I ordered it cost me around £6.50 a soap which is good value.
I was very impressed from the get go when the package arrived, not only did it arrive quickly (around a week), it was sealed in a small cardboard box and well protected, once opened the aromas were intoxicating. They also sent a small but decent sized free sample of lemongrass soap which was much appreciated and not a soap choice I would have made previously but ended up really liking the freshness of the scent.
All in all a brand worth checking out for its simple but effective packaging and certainly for its amazing strong smelling soaps.
