Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara

I’ve had a few waterproof mascaras before but it’s not something I use everyday (although the amount my Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes smudges maybe I should!) I’ve tried the Diorshow Waterproof and didn’t find it waterproof at all. For a time I swore by the Fairydrops Scandal Queen Waterproof Mascara; it wouldn’t give me panda eyes (even through a Barbados boat party) but it’s quite difficult to get hold of in Jersey and I did find that the fibres a bit uncontrollable and they’d sometimes irritate my sensitive eyes.

Then I found the Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara. I have to say I think this mascara is great, definitely lengthens my lashes and keeps a curl, I wouldn’t say it does much volumizing wise but thats not the reason I bought it. I’ve always preferred a bristle-style brush to a plastic wand so that factored into why I picked this product. How waterproof is it? It has survived Storm Imogen’s aftermath and it hasn’t smudged no matter how many times I’ve rubbed my eyes. A good micellar water can’t budge it and a cleansing balm struggles to break down the formula; I’d recommend an eye makeup remover to get this off.

I’ve never bought a lot from Clinique just the odd thing over the years. I just seem to assume that their products won’t excite me as much as the more niche brands I’m so fond of but after visiting their stand there were so many things that caught my interest. I mean how cute are those 2-in-1 Sweet Pots!?!
