L’ETO is my new favourite spot to breakfast at when in London and as you can see from the photo above their lunch spread is pretty impressive too! L’ETO can currently be found in six Locations across west London, I headed to the Brompton branch which I believe is their newest cafe where I was in for a real treat. All dishes are available to eat in or take away and everything is prepared on sight.
We started the morning with shots; one Pear & Ginger and one Sea Buckthorn Shot which contained sea buckthorn, goji berry, ginger and carrot. We ordered a couple of fresh apple, lime and cucumber juices after debating over the red velvet cappuccino made with almond milk.
The Eggs Royale with herb cured salmon, ciabatta toast, datterini tomatoes & rocket salad was very popular on our table, I swapped my salmon for prosciutto ham. The ciabatta was a little hard to cut but it was a sacrifice I was happy to make as I am a fan of bread with a hard crust! The eggs were perfectly poached and the ham was nice and lean. A side of Avocado salsa topped with seeds didn’t last long either!
For a gluten free and dairy free option I can’t recommend the Chia banana & buckwheat berry pancakes enough! I mean just look at them, so light and fluffy, they come topped with a peanut butter sauce but (don’t shot me) I opted for maple syrup instead as I’m not a peanut butter kind of girl. Am I the only person who’s not into peanut butter? I love a good satay sauce but peanut buttercups, peanut butter on toast with banana… count me out!
So if you’re passing a L’ETO when in London, I urge you to pull up a seat, there is such a lovely atmosphere and the staff are so polite and friendly. The perfect way to spend a morning… and if you can’t sit down, get something to go!
