Product Empties | 0.1

This year, I’m determined to use up some of my existing beauty products (… so I can make room for all the new ones I’m longing to purchase). If you saw this picture, you’ll now I have quite the beauty habit. I  thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share my thoughts on the finished products and do mini reviews to see if I’d repurchase them.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

This face mist is one of my absolute favourites. The smell is unlike any other and genuinely brings a sense of calm and refreshed the complexion. Perfect for travelling and throughout the day, this is one of my desktop beauty must-haves. The only downside is how quickly I go through it! The scent really is addictive as much as it is intoxicating, and I can rarely put it down. I’ll definitely be repurchasing it but I have a few other face sprays to try.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume

A soothing, protecting product suitable for anyone including infants, it is for all skin types but I would stay away from it on your face if you have oily skin. While this cream is seriously hydrating, it is greasy and takes time to sink in. It works well during the colder month for various dry patches but I’m not sure I have the use for it at the moment, so not sure I’ll be repurchasing.

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Eye Recovery

Sarah Chapman London is a brand that I love, there isn’t a product from her that I’ve tried and not got on well with. She is praised by beauty editors and beauty bloggers alike and her facials are meant to be holy grail (maybe one day I’ll try one!) I was sad to come to the end of this product, I rarely use eye cream as I just get lazy but this one I used every evening. It’s full of peptides and anti-oxidants with promises of slowing down the ageing process. These aren’t essential in an eye cream for me as I just want something really moisturising and this does that and more. I have sensitive skin and eyes and this doesn’t irritate it. I love that the pump dispenses the right amount product for both eyes. Waiting for my next eye recovery to arrive already.

Caudalie Vino Source Moisturizing Sorbet

I picked this generous sample up last year from Sephora, I got it for free with my VIB rouge points at the time. I held off using it as I always do with samples.. anyone else? But when Danny and I went to London it was so travel friendly, I thought it would be the perfect time to trial it. This moisturiser was really hydrating which was perfect for my dehydrated skin, it was light weight and my sensitive skin got on so well with it. The moisturising properties were significantly long lasting and it was the makeup base of dreams! I tried to pick this up locally but they were out of stock, I may have to pick this up online.

Sunday Riley Good Genes

This is a super pricey product, I’m not going to hide that from you. It’s a product I never thought I’d order but when I got given a sample to try (which I tried to use so minimally to savour it) I couldn’t help but treat myself. It was a very sad day when I ran out of this. The lactic acid in this serum acts as a chemical exfoliant to reveal brighter, more even skin tone. The liquorice reduces hyperpigmentation and the lemongrass increases circulation for added radiance. In all honesty when using this product my skin had never looked so good, unfortunately, I can’t justify the spending this amount on one product. At least not frequently. I wish this came in at a lower price bracket or lasted a lot longer, it’s worth noting all Sunday Riley products are cruelty-free.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

I have used this micellar water for years, this is not the first bottle I have finished, nor will it be the last- considering I’m already half way through my next. This is the perfect makeup remover, it doesn’t irritate eyes when removing mascara. It is a staple is majority of makeup artist and beauty bloggers kits. When I’m feeling lazy I will reach for this solution on a cotton pad over a face wipe. I take a mini bottle of it with me when I travel and it’s great to use all over your face after a second cleanse just to check you’ve removed all your makeup or any daily pollutants that have attached themselves to your skin. Regardless to say, you get the point. It’s super affordable and I see no reason why you don’t already own it.. what are you waiting for?

The more I read about Good Genes, the more I am convinced I need it in my life. Except it is so, so expensive so I’m also holding off for a moment! Also, the Caudalie Sorbet sounds divine – I love Caudalie and I’m always on the lookup for a nice daytime moisturiser, so thank you for the recommendation!

I find that Cicaplast works best if you just use a little bit on small patches of very dry skin – I don’t think I’d be able to use it as an all-over face moisturiser. But I also use it so rarely (mostly in the colder months) that perhaps you’re better off getting a product that can do the best of both worlds! Tess xx

It is honestly such an amazing serum – Lil nothing I’d ever tried before and I’m a huge fan of AHA’s and chemical exfoliant but this just agreed with my skin to a different degree. The price is just so out of budget! The sorbet is beautiful, so lightweight and hydrating! I’m trying one of their cleansers and serums at the moment, more price friendly but still premium for sure. Oh fab, thanks for the tips Tess! I think you’re right I’m trying to downsize my skincare wardrobe a tad so I need some products that do multiple things ☺ xx

I really want to try the Good Genes product, everyone seems to rave about it but I can justify spending that much on one product???
