Oh August, please can we have some more sunshine than we had in July? I am still yet to wear half of my summer shoes, and I’d really like to. Apart from the weather not living up to my summer expectations, I feel possibly the most content I remember feeling in quite a few years. Even so, I believe there is always room for self-improvement, and to grow. Here are my goals for this month.
Declutter beauty products…again.
Even though I have gotten rid of a lot this year so far – and it feels so good! I still feel I could be living with less. I have one face, and one body… how many products do I really need? As a self-confessed beauty addict – I’m sure even if I get rid of some more I will still own more than most. There are just some draws/shelves/ muni boxes I rarely venture towards so I’d love to have a re jig.
Towards the end of July, I got pretty good at planning ahead. While I believe in living in the present, I feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders if I also plan slightly ahead. So here’s to making time to do plan.
I don’t have an awful lot of hobbies, and it’s always nice to take up something new. Ideally, it would be something fitness related, but I’m not the best at prioritising working out. My mum’s been talking about trying indoor rock climbing, which I think sounds really fun. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to do it together as our schedules work on completely opposite time frames. So maybe I’ll let her give it a go and depending on her feedback I might try it… or something else!
Get Into A Beauty Routine
There are certain aspects of my beauty routine that I do religiously, like taking my makeup off. There are others like moisturising that I only do every now and again when I can be bothered. Considering our skin is our largest organ, it’s important to take care of it. This month I’d like to start body brushing and moisturising regularly.
Danny and I had such a lovely time when we took a day out to relax and get pampered, it would be lovely to do it again. I think I’m going to look into book us a spa day for the end of the month. It’s good to set goals but it’s great to reward yourself too!
