I’ve been really lucky had pretty good eyesight for the majority of my life but I was finding that after looking at my computer screen for long periods of time my eyes were starting to glaze over and I as getting mild headaches. At home, I can just use my computer less but sometimes at work, you don’t have that luxury! H and I talked about it and as more of a preventative measure we thought an eye test would be a good idea. Neither of us had been for a very long time.
We had an upcoming trip to London planned and I’d come across Bailey Nelson a couple of times and loved the concept behind it. All the frames are £98, it’s £20 for an eye test, but if you have a prescription from within 2 years it is not necessary to retest your eyes. The frames are made locally, made by hand and of a really high quality. You get a case and cloth and included in your fixed price is a 1-year warranty. The majority of the frames are unisex but some do lend themselves more to men or woman.
The hardest part of the day came after our eye tests, selecting our frames! There were so many beautiful ones to choose from at the Spitalfields store and everyone there was so helpful. In the end, H opted for the Parker frames in the cosmic tortoise finish. And I opted for the Fitzgerald frame but I can’t seem to find them on the website, hopefully, I’ll be able to link to them soon.
