After receiving my sample of Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation I can’t wait to get my hands on more, I’m dreaming of that full size bottle.
Firstly, as I live in Jersey, I can only get my hand on this online, well, until H and I head back to London next month. I originally thought shade 3 would be the best shade for me but that sample was unavailable so I chose to try shade 4. Shade 4 wasn’t a bad match so I’m intrigued to see which is my best colour match when I make it to the CT counter.
I found the application not as easy to blend as a lot of my other foundations, but maybe using a thicker moisturiser to give it more slip would help with that. I think that this less fluid application helped a lot with the staying power though as this stuff didn’t budge! I didn’t find this foundation drying, but it does set to a matte finish whilst somehow still giving the skin a dewy glow. I say matte as I don’t need to powder but there’s a lovely glow to the skin too (I don’t find there to be sheen or greasy feeling for those with oily skin ). This foundation is really build-able. I would say it’s a medium coverage foundation and it blends really well with other branded concealers and other CT products like these and these.
After a few of H’s comments on how great I looked, I think this is going to be a definite purchase for next month’s trip to London!
